This kitchen renovation and installation in Colchester completely changed the feel of the downstairs of this home.

We started as usual by protecting the home to prevent as much of the dust and debris from entering the rest of the home using the floor protection and the door lock sheets allowing access to the rooms for the client but allowing us to keep the dust contained.

Works completed:

The original layout was a separate dining room and kitchen. We removed the structural load bearing partition wall and adding a new steal to support the upstairs.

This opened the new kitchen up into this amazing space. The old UPVC patio doors were removed and the opening adjusted to allow for a new aluminium framed bifold door set. All of these works were calculated by a structural engineer and submitted / signed off by building control.

The entire kitchen was rewired, and the plumbing adjusted to suit the needs for the new kitchen layout, which due to the finished flooring in the rooms above meant complete removal of the ceilings which were reboarded and plastered along with all the walls.

We installed the new kitchen and worktops as per design by Howdens joinery and the tiling above the quartz upstand really gave this kitchen a stunning finish.

The new quooker tap which supplies boiling water at a push of a button is a really nice feature adding further quality to the kitchen.

The doors into the kitchen were also replaced with a fully glazed door adding light into the hallway from the new byfold doors.

Karndean palio clic flooring was installed into the kitchen and the client wanted this to continue into the hallway and w/c.

The finishing touches of the project was to decorate the new kitchen and dinning area, and then install the new decorative radiators and the TV.
